Looking back 3 months from now, I was all over the place, looking for a place of internship in order to complete my bachelors degree in computer engineering. People usually send out their resume to different firms for internship 4-6 months before starting their internship, exploring their choices, but not in my case.I started looking for a place of internship 2-3 weeks before I was supposed to intern. I started sending out resume to different firms, much to a disappointment since it was on short notice or a lack of vacancy. Luckily a friend of mine suggested me to apply at Pronto Marketing
and I couldn't have been more thankful to him. The R&D(Research and Development Engineering) internship position is usually filled at this firm and I didn't know why until I finished my internship there, as an intern, I got to learn a lot. Again, lucky enough, there was a vacancy for me in the R&D team as I was interning from January to April during universities are open. People usually do their internship during the summers holiday but since it was my last term, I decided to do my internship then.

I have worked at some of my friends fathers firm before and I can assure you, Pronto Marketing is one of the awesomest(don't know if it's a word) place to work at. The moment I entered the R&D office which is at the third floor of Rajanakarn Building, I didn't feel like it was an office but more as a home, people who had worked there or is working there will know why. People working at Pronto Marketing are very friendly and are very welcoming. It felt very warm, just like home.
It felt like I was not just working as a part of a great team but a member of a family where the members would assist each other even though if it meant sacrificing their own working time. The seniors there guided me very well and I got to learn immensely from them. I can confidently say what I studied for two years at university
was equivalent to the knowledge I gained in three months interning at the firms. It taught me how different it was to go out and work in a real firm environment, the challenges you face unlike the knowledge you would get in a class(practical not just theoretical). It taught me how to work as a part of a bigger team.

It was the first time I realized that working environment doesn't necessarily include stress and can be fun. Everyone is pretty cooperative too. Dr.Kan Ouivirach was my mentor, he taught me a lot of stuff. I was really intrigued by his knowledge in different field and saw him as my role model. He guided me throughout this three
months. It motivated me to work harder and become better at I was doing and pushed me to be more self reliable. I found working at Pronto very flexible.

I have studied about working in an agile enviornment before in software engineering class but never really implmented in real life. Here in R&D team we work in an agile environment. At first I was very skeptic about it and thought it wouldn't be very efficient. But at the end of the sprint I realized how efficient it is and implement it with different work I do and am looking forward to working in a firm that works in an agile system. It makes the work a lot more fun, easier
and less pressuring. Moreover at Pronto Marketing, the team take responsibility as a whole, if a particular work is not finished, the whole team takes the blame for it and credit for it vice versa which I think promotes a sense of family within the team
What makes working at Pronto Marketing even more fun is having regular breaks, we have lunch break at about 12:00 pm. There are plenty of variety of food to choose from around the office. At around 3:00 pm we have another snack break, with plenty of snacks, such as fruits and other dishes, during which, the employees can
release their stress by playing PING PONG. YES!!!, they got a ping pong table toooo!!!. Luckily(again), during my time of internship, there was a pingpong tournament being held in which i took a part in and enjoyed thoroughly. The company also promotes inter-cultural diversity enviornment with people coming from different backgrounds.
As a whole I can conclude that the team, works hard, plays harder. I am very thankful that the team gave me an opportunity to intern at their firm giving me a chance to learn a lot. It's one of the best decision in my life and don't regret to the least.
